Hey there! My name is Rakhi, and I’m a Physician Assistant living in Houston, TX. First off, thank you so much for visiting my site! Since I’ve been single for most of my 30s, I‘ve been blessed enough to go on some life changing solo travels, global volunteer efforts, and even explore running half marathons in other countries.
I was born in Houston, grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and went to LSU for undergrad. After finishing grad school in Galveston, I moved to Houston and have stayed here since. Believe it or not, I was shy and introverted as a child and even into some of my adult years. But over time, I broke out of my shell and enjoyed taking on different adventures I honestly thought I could and would never do. As the saying goes — “if I can do it, YOU can do it!”
My first solo trip was a volunteer effort in Nicaragua right before I turned 30. It was truly a life-changing event, because it made me realize how much I love traveling and giving back to the world. Along the way, running half marathons in different countries inspired me to travel more. It’s been a fun adventure everywhere I go and I hope I can capture that in this blog!
When I’m not traveling, I’m home baking up some delicious treats for the ones I love. I have found some great recipes over the years (especially vegetarian meals and desserts), including some traditional family ones I would love to share.
Welcome to the Rakhstar Life. Enjoy!
